Poem by Lynda Stewart (Rest in peace)

Children all have monsters
Who visit them in bed
But parents just can’t see them
Just think there in your head!

They hide in all the corners
And run around at night
They creep into the cupboards
Can give you such a fright!

They climb in through the windows
Sometimes use the door
They might come down the chimney
Of that I’m not to0 sure!

They race along the hallway
Up and down the stairs
They climb on almost everything
It seems they’re everywhere!

You’d think that you could bathe in peace
They surely wont be there!
How Wrong!-They paddle in the bath
Or else just sit and stare!

A simple thing like getting dressed
Or going to the loo
You think you’ll have some privacy
But no – they’ve followed you!

Clothes disappear beneath the bed
Missing earrings, chains and rings
Monstors think it’s fun you know
To steal and hide your things!

A moment’s peace to sit awhile
And maybe read a book
But minutes are just all you have
They’re here!-Whats that-Lets look!

Flowers you arrange-so nice
Dried ones silk or real
The monsters become hungry now
Oh, look Another meal!

Monsters are quite real you know!
This statement I can make
Because I have two of my own
My Cats Holly and Jake
